School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Webster, New York

Youll be instrumental in shaping the hands-on skills of high school students in the Nurse Assisting (Nurse Aide) course by overseeing their clinical learning and guiding them through real-world scenarios.

Your work schedule offers tailored hours8 to 10 am and 12 to 2 pmproviding a balanced opportunity to contribute your expertise while maintaining flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor students during clinical experiences in an 8:1 setting for the Nurse Assisting course.
• Develop and refine clinical experience opportunities and instruction schedules in collaboration with classroom teachers.
• Coordinate closely with school staff and agency personnel to ensure quality educational experiences.
• Regularly assess and document students clinical progress.
• Address any additional tasks requested by the Nurse Aide Teacher, supporting the overall programs needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State RN license required.
• Eligibility for the Civil Service title of School Nurse.
• Recent experience in long-term care or a nursing home.
• Enthusiasm for working with high school students pursuing Certified Nurse Assisting careers.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
