Assignment Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and flexible School Psychologist to support a district in Oakland, California for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a backfill position split between a middle school and a high school. The ideal candidate should be prepared to support changing caseloads and dynamic student needs throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide psychological evaluations and re-evaluations as required
Collaborate with IEP teams to determine eligibility and develop appropriate interventions
Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and assist in Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
Offer counseling services to students as needed
Work closely with general and special education staff, families, and outside providers
Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with IDEA timelines
Requirements:
Active and current California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Psychology
Previous experience working across secondary grade levels (middle and high school preferred)
Strong communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills
Ability to navigate changes in caseloads and scheduling across multiple school sites
Compensation:
Market competitive rates based on experience, assignment responsibilities, and location
