Assignment Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and flexible School Psychologist to support a district in Oakland, California for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a backfill position split between a middle school and a high school. The ideal candidate should be prepared to support changing caseloads and dynamic student needs throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide psychological evaluations and re-evaluations as required

• Collaborate with IEP teams to determine eligibility and develop appropriate interventions

• Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and assist in Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)

• Offer counseling services to students as needed

• Work closely with general and special education staff, families, and outside providers

• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with IDEA timelines

Requirements:

• Active and current California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Psychology

• Previous experience working across secondary grade levels (middle and high school preferred)

• Strong communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills

• Ability to navigate changes in caseloads and scheduling across multiple school sites

Compensation:
Market competitive rates based on experience, assignment responsibilities, and location
