School Psychologist - Arvada, CO

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity in a setting dedicated to empowering students in grades 6-12 who require intensive behavioral and social-emotional support. Youll partner with a collaborative team at a specialized academy designed for learners whose unique needs havent been met in traditional school settings. This position is on-site, providing essential mental health and behavioral services, with a caseload currently at 23 students and growing to up to 30.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider (SSP) License with endorsement as either a School Psychologist or School Social Worker.
• Demonstrated experience supporting students with severe behavioral and emotional needs, preferably in middle or high school, day treatment, or facility settings.
• Deep understanding of IEP processes, including assessments, meetings, and report development.
• Ready and qualified to meet district requirements for background checks and fingerprinting.
• Available for a full-time contract (37.5 hours/week) through late May.

What Youll Do:

• Deliver direct mental health interventions and support aligned with students IEP requirements.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and program staff to address social-emotional and behavioral goals.
• Complete comprehensive IEP duties: conducting evaluations, participating in meetings, and developing student plans.
• Provide ongoing consultation and guidance to staff working within this specialized educational program.
