Full-Time School Psychologist Position - New School Year - Chesapeake, VA

Blazer Jobs is currently conducting interviews for experienced School Psychologists for full-time, positions serving school districts in the Chesapeake, Virginia area for the 2025–2026 academic year. We're seeking professionals committed to supporting students’ academic and emotional success, open to operating in a virtual setting.
  
Details: 

• Location: Chesapeake, VA (Open to Remote)
• Full Time: 37.5 hours per week
• Caseload: K-12. The district likes to discuss more details at the time of interview to determine the best fit.

Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:

• Valid Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) School Psychologist License
• Master’s, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
• Completed internship in School Psychology
• Experience with remote psychological assessments and virtual learning platforms
• Comfortable using teletherapy tools and online IEP management systems
• Background check and fingerprint clearance as required by the school district
• Prior experience in K-12 settings preferred

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations
• Develop and present reports for multidisciplinary teams and IEP meetings
• Provide direct and consultative services to students, families, and staff
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to implement academic and behavioral interventions
• Support the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans
• Contribute to Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) processes
• Participate in crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation as needed
