Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced and licensed Psychiatrist for a full-time, school-based contract position in Columbus, NE. This opportunity allows you to play a vital role in supporting student mental health within a collaborative and inclusive school environment. Position Overview:
The Psychiatrist will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating students with mental health conditions. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide essential support to help students achieve their academic and personal goals.

Qualifications:

• Active and valid license to practice psychiatry in the state of Nebraska

• MD or DO with completed residency in Psychiatry

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry

• Must meet all state and local regulations for school-based psychiatric services

• Strongly preferred: experience with special education populations and participation in IEP processes

• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and mental health evaluations

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with school staff and families

• Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications as needed

• Attend and participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings

• Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support services

• Serve as a resource for school staff on mental health and behavioral issues

• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with district policies
