Job Description:
We are currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) to join our educational team in the Houston, TX Metro Area. This full-time, school-based role focuses on supporting the emotional, behavioral, and academic development of students through assessment, consultation, and intervention. The LSSP will work collaboratively with educators, families, and other professionals to create positive and effective learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to assess cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning
  • Provide direct and indirect services to support students’ academic, social, and emotional needs
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to implement interventions and monitor student progress
  • Assist in crisis response, threat assessments, and the development of safety plans
  • Promote a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
  • Attend and contribute to Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions

Qualifications:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Valid Texas LSSP license issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists
  • Experience in a school setting preferred
  • Knowledge of special education law, assessment tools, and intervention strategies
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and with diverse student populations
