Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced and compassionate School Psychologists for a full-time position with school districts in the Danbury, Connecticut area. Position Details:

• Job Title: School Psychologist

• Location: Danbury, CT

• Schedule: Full-Time

• Contract: Remainder of the current school year, with potential for renewal based on performance

Applicant Requirements:

All applicants must meet Connecticut state and local requirements, including:

• Master’s or Sixth-Year Degree in School Psychology or a closely related field

• Valid Connecticut State Department of Education certification (Endorsement #070 – School Psychologist)

• Previous experience working with K-12 students in an educational setting preferred

• Strong understanding of IEP and special education evaluation processes

• Ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting as required by the district

Typical Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, behavioral, and emotional functioning

• Interpret evaluation results and provide recommendations to support student success

• Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP development, and reevaluations

• Provide direct and consultative services to students, families, and staff

• Support implementation of school-wide behavior and intervention programs (e.g., RTI, PBIS)

• Assist in crisis intervention, counseling, and mental health support when needed

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop strategies for student achievement
