Job Title: School Psychologist
Location: Danbury, CT
Schedule: Full-Time
Contract: Remainder of the current school year, with potential for renewal based on performance
All applicants must meet Connecticut state and local requirements, including:
Master’s or Sixth-Year Degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
Valid Connecticut State Department of Education certification (Endorsement #070 – School Psychologist)
Previous experience working with K-12 students in an educational setting preferred
Strong understanding of IEP and special education evaluation processes
Ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting as required by the district
Conduct psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, behavioral, and emotional functioning
Interpret evaluation results and provide recommendations to support student success
Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP development, and reevaluations
Provide direct and consultative services to students, families, and staff
Support implementation of school-wide behavior and intervention programs (e.g., RTI, PBIS)
Assist in crisis intervention, counseling, and mental health support when needed
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop strategies for student achievement
