Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity providing vital psychological services to elementary students during a leave of absence. This contract role focuses on supporting two welcoming schools conveniently located within walking distance of each other. You will conduct evaluations and offer your expertise to students from preschool through 5th grade, working closely with school staff and families to foster a positive learning environment.

Key Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Current licensure and credentials as a School Psychologist in Illinois
  • Experience working with elementary-age students (PreKgrade 5) in school settings
  • Strong skills in conducting student evaluations, developing intervention plans, and participating in IEP processes
  • Bilingual candidates who are Spanish-speaking are highly desired, though not required
  • Comfort with in-person engagement; flexibility for partial virtual or hybrid arrangements can be discussed
  • Ability to efficiently manage caseload and adapt to varying evaluation loads

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychological assessments and support services to students at both Aspen Elementary School and the School for Young Learners
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Administer, score, and interpret psychological and academic assessments as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to development of intervention strategies
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with all stakeholders

This role features a regular schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7:30am3:00pm; Wednesday until 3:15pm, working 35 hours per week with a dedicated lunch break daily. The assignment is set from January 4, 2027, through March 29, 2027 (actual dates may flex depending on leave needs, with an option for overlap days for smooth transition).
