We are actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Onsite School Psychologist to join a supportive school district in Ortonville, MI, for the upcoming school year. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students across two school sites!

Location: Ortonville, MI (Split between 2 school sites) Start Date: ASAP End Date: June 12, 2025 Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:10 AM - 2:40 PM Caseload: Elementary and Middle School

About the Role:

As a School Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive educational environment. You will work within a supportive district that values collaboration and student well-being. Your duties will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive psycho-educational assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and inform intervention strategies.
  • Developing and implementing individualized support plans, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans.
  • Providing direct support and interventions to students, including individual and group counseling as needed.
  • Consulting with teachers, families, and other school-employed mental health professionals (e.g., school counselors, social workers) to enhance support strategies.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote student success and well-being.
  • Participating in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to all state and federal regulations.
  • Offering crisis intervention and emotional support when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Active School Psychologist license in Michigan is required.
  • Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Experience in a school-based setting is preferred.
  • Strong assessment, intervention, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Compensation:

This contract position offers a competitive hourly rate of $45-$55 based on experience.
