Embark on a rewarding contract assignment as a School Psychologist supporting two vibrant elementary school communities just steps apart. This role provides valued services to students from preschool through 5th grade during a maternity leave, offering opportunities to work in a collaborative, student-centered environment. The position is based across two welcoming schools, conveniently located within walking distance, ensuring efficient transitions between locations.

As the School Psychologist, you will play a key role in student evaluations and support. Ideally, candidates will be bilingual in Spanish, though this is not mandatory. Preference is given to those comfortable providing in-person services, with flexibility for a hybrid arrangement if needed.

Key Qualifications:

  • Licensed School Psychologist with experience in educational settings
  • Previous experience in student evaluations, particularly within elementary levels (preschool-5th grade) is highly valued
  • Bilingual Spanish abilities are strongly preferred but not required
  • Availability to cover from early January through late March, with slight flexibility in start/end dates
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working effectively with students, faculty, and families

Core Responsibilities:

  • Administer and interpret psychoeducational assessments as part of multidisciplinary teams
  • Collaborate with staff to support student learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
  • Provide consultative services and intervention strategies for students and teachers
  • Support completion of evaluations as determined by student caseload and referral needs
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs)

This contract ensures a consistent schedule, working weekdays from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm (3:15 pm on Wednesdays), totaling 35 hours and a daily lunch break. An overlap with the current School Psychologist is encouraged for a seamless transition.
