Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced and dedicated School Psychologists for a full-time position with school districts in the Elmhurst, Illinois area. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide critical academic, emotional, and behavioral support to students in a dynamic and collaborative school setting. Contract renewals for the next school year are based on performance.


Position Overview:

  • Title: School Psychologist

  • Location: Elmhurst, IL

  • Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite

  • Start Date: 2025-2026 School Year

  • Contract Renewal: Based on Performance


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to assess cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional functioning

  • Interpret assessment results and contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • Provide direct and consultative services including counseling, behavior management, and crisis intervention

  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student success through data-driven interventions

  • Participate in the implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) processes

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including IDEA and Section 504

  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP and eligibility meetings


Qualifications & Requirements:

Applicants must meet Illinois state and district certification requirements for School Psychologists, including:

  • Specialist-level degree (Ed.S., Ph.D., or Psy.D.) in School Psychology from an accredited program

  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)

  • Knowledge of special education law and best practices in psychological services in schools

  • Experience with psychoeducational testing, behavioral interventions, and student support planning

  • Ability to pass all required background checks and district onboarding procedures
