Bilingual School Psychologist - Hybrid Opportunity in Bastrop, TX!

Are you a highly motivated and bilingual (Spanish/English) School Psychologist looking for a dynamic role in a supportive school district? We have an exciting contract opportunity in Bastrop, Texas, for the upcoming school year!

Location: Bastrop, TX Discipline: Psychology Dates: August 13, 2025 – May 21, 2026 Hours: 37.5 hours/week (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days virtual, 3 days onsite)

About the Role:

As a School Psychologist, you will provide comprehensive psychological services to students across the district. This is a district-wide position with a unique "point system" caseload, ensuring that your workload is balanced based on the complexity of evaluations required. For example, a monolingual SLD initial evaluation might be worth 2 points, and you would be expected to complete assessments equivalent to 2 such points per week. This system provides flexibility and ensures that you can focus on quality assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students, including cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral assessments.
  • Interpret assessment results and write clear, concise, and legally defensible reports.
  • Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to develop individualized education programs (IEPs).
  • Provide consultation to school staff regarding academic and behavioral interventions.
  • Offer counseling and crisis intervention services to students as needed.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all services provided.

Special Requirements:

  • MUST BE BILINGUAL (Spanish/English).
  • Active professional license in School Psychology is required.

Compensation:

The average hourly rate for a contract licensed school-based professional in Texas is approximately $45-55 based on experience.
