Contract School Psychologist - Denton, TX (Part-time or Full-time)

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join a supportive school district in Denton, TX, for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. This is an excellent chance to contribute to the well-being and academic success of students in a collaborative environment.

Location: Denton, TX Discipline: Psychology (Psych) Dates: August 12, 2025 – May 22, 2026 Hours: Part-time or Full-time (flexible options available!)

Caseload/Details:

The specific caseload is currently to be determined (TBD), but has typically focused on elementary students in the past. We are actively working on getting more details and will share them as soon as they become available. This role will involve working directly with students, school staff, and families to address a variety of psychological and educational needs.

Job Duties May Include:

• Conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to identify student strengths and areas for growth.
• Interpreting assessment results and developing data-driven recommendations for interventions and support.
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Section 504 plans.
• Providing direct and indirect psychological services, such as counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior management strategies.
• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and plan appropriate services.
• Consulting with school staff on classroom management techniques, social-emotional learning, and academic interventions.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential student records.

Special Requirements:

• Active professional license as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) in Texas is required.
• Experience working with school-aged children, preferably at the elementary level, is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of federal and state special education laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation:

For this contract position, the average hourly rate is $40-$55 based on experience.
