School Psychologist in Minneapolis, MN

Make a meaningful difference for K-12 students in the Minneapolis area by delivering high-impact psychological and mental health services within a vibrant educational environment. Flexible contract opportunities are now available, including a full-time (37.5 hours/week) position and two part-time roles (approximately 25-26 hours/week for 3.5 days or 18 hours/week for 2.5 days). Assignments span K-12 (excluding early childhood), with standard hours of 8am4pm. Site placements will be determined soon.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education Specialist or Doctoral degree in School Psychology, or equivalent.
• Current Minnesota school psychologist license (PELSB).
• Experience with equitable, culturally responsive, and inclusive service delivery.
• Proficiency in evidence-based assessment, intervention strategies, and providing mental health support.

Preferred Qualifications:

• National School Psychologist Certification (NCSP) or eligibility.
• Background in consultation, problem-solving, and MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support).
• Leadership and facilitation skills supporting adult learners.
• Crisis prevention, intervention, and postvention knowledge.
• Strong communication and collaborative abilities to foster trust in diverse communities.
• Detailed understanding of federal and state special education laws.
• Experience working in urban, multicultural school settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and interpret findings to support student success.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective interventions and supports.
• Consult on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions within an MTSS model.
• Provide crisis intervention and proactive mental health supports as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to special education.
