School Psychologist | New Castle, Delaware

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary students as a School Psychologist. This onsite contract position is located near New Castle, DE, supporting Mount Pleasant Elementary. Youll collaborate within a dedicated school community, providing crucial psychological services to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid School Psychologist certification for the state (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience in school settings is highly valued
• Understanding of comprehensive psychoeducational assessments
• Skilled in developing and implementing effective behavior intervention plans
• Excellent communication skills for working with students, teachers, and parents
• Willing and able to complete all required district onboarding, including a current TB test (unless providing virtual services), fingerprinting, and Child Protective Registry Check

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify student needs
• Work closely with teachers and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Serve as a resource for crisis intervention and social-emotional support
• Consult with families and staff to foster a positive, inclusive school environment
• Maintain accurate and confidential records aligned with district policies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to monitor and support student progress

Additional Information: This full-time opportunity runs Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch). The contract extends through June 8, 2027. Candidates are responsible for the $85 CBC fingerprinting requirement. Completion of a district contractor packet is mandatory and may take up to 5 business days to process. Once approved, contractors will be scheduled for a badge appointment.
