School Psychologist in Newark, DE

Make an impact in the educational community as a school psychologist supporting students onsite at an elementary campus near Newark, DE. This full-time, contract opportunity runs from ASAP through June 8, 2027. Youll be a vital part of the schools multidisciplinary team, helping foster academic, social, and emotional success for all students. Work with dedicated professionals in a collaborative, supportive environment.

What youll bring:

• Valid School Psychologist credential
• Experience with elementary-aged students preferred
• Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Familiarity with special education processes and IEP participation
• Ability to work onsite, MondayFriday, 35 hours per week
• Willingness to complete required background checks ($85 CBC fingerprinting)
• TB test (unless providing services virtually)
• Ability to complete the district contractor packet, including child protective registry check

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting psychological and educational assessments
• Providing individual and group counseling as appropriate
• Collaborating with staff and families to support student development
• Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
• Consulting on behavioral and academic interventions
• Maintaining timely, thorough documentation and case notes
• Adhering to all district and ethical guidelines

The district provides in-depth onboarding, including a contractor packet process which may take up to five business days for completion and approval. Once cleared, youll schedule your badge appointment and be ready to make a difference onsite each day.
