School Psychologist - Portsmouth, Virginia

A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated School Psychologist to serve campuses in the Virginia Beach area. Candidates will work onsite (no virtual or hybrid options) within local schools to assess, consult, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide essential psychological services.

Start date is flexible with assignments running through June 18, 2027. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available, giving you the benefit of choosing the arrangement that best fits your lifestyle. Caseloads and school assignments may vary based on placement.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid State Licensure as a School Psychologist
• Active DOE Certification required
• Willing to consider recent graduates and early career professionals
• Background in conducting psychological assessments and evaluations in an educational environment is helpful
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to contribute effectively to meetings (ARD, re-evaluation, and IEP sessions)
• Dedication to fostering student growth and well-being

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students, ranging from pre-K through high school
• Participate fully in IEP, ARD, and re-evaluation meetings
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop appropriate interventions and supports
• Maintain accurate records and provide timely documentation
• Offer insights and strategies to facilitate student learning and adjustment
