Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and
Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) to join our team serving schools in the
Sugar Land, TX Metro Area. This full-time position focuses on supporting students' academic achievement, social-emotional development, and mental health by providing comprehensive psychological services in a collaborative school-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to assess cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning
- Interpret evaluation results and provide data-informed recommendations for educational planning
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Section 504 plans
- Provide individual and group counseling and crisis intervention services
- Support Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), including Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to promote student success
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Valid Texas LSSP license issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists
- Experience in school settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, including IDEA and Section 504
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
