Full-Time School Psychologist Job

Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced School Psychologists for full-time positions with school districts in the Wheeling, Illinois area for the upcoming school year. Details: 

• Location: Wheeling, IL
• Full Time: 35 hours per week
• Caseload: Age group and caseload to be determined. The district likes to discuss more details at the time of interview to see the best fit.

Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:

• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
• Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from a state-approved program.
• Completion of a supervised internship in School Psychology.
• Up-to-date background check and fingerprint clearance, as required by Illinois school districts.
• Strong understanding of IDEA, 504, and MTSS processes.
• Prior school-based experience preferred, but new graduates with credentials are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations
• Develop and present reports for multidisciplinary teams and IEP meetings
• Provide direct and consultative services to students, families, and staff
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to implement academic and behavioral interventions
• Support the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans
• Contribute to Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) processes
• Participate in crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation as needed
