We are currently hiring a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to serve a K-12 caseload in Virginia Beach, VA. This full-time, onsite position offers a supportive environment and the opportunity to collaborate with educators, families, and students to enhance learning and promote positive mental health.
Position Overview:
Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite
Caseload: K-12 students
Contract Duration: 25/26 School Year
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for academic, behavioral, or social-emotional concerns
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans
Provide direct counseling and mental health services to students, as needed
Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop effective strategies to improve student learning and behavior
Assist in crisis intervention and response efforts within the school setting
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Requirements:
Master’s or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology or related field
Valid Virginia School Psychologist license (or eligibility to obtain)
Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred
Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
