Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) for a school-based contract position in Dallas, TX. The interpreter will facilitate communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their peers, teachers, and school staff. Classroom experience is not required.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing interpretation during classroom instruction and activities
- Supporting communication during IEP meetings and school functions
- Collaborating with special education staff and related service providers
- High school diploma or higher education preferred
- Valid certification from the Texas BEI or RID
- Knowledge of IDEA and ADA accommodations
- Must clear state and federal background checks
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
