Sign Language Interpreter in Alto, GA

Help unlock educational opportunities for students by providing sign language interpretation services in a vibrant high school setting. This full-time contract position runs through May 28, 2027, offering an engaging chance to make a lasting difference in a students academic life. Youll work onsite, supporting a single high school student in all academic settings Monday through Friday, for a total of 37.5 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Georgia Educational Interpreter/GaPSC Certification
• EIPA score of 3.5+ or RID Certification required
• Previous experience interpreting in schools, ideally at the high school level, preferred
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with students, educators, and school staff
• Full-time, onsite availability
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and advocacy skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct sign language interpretation between the student and educators throughout classes, assemblies, and school activities
• Ensure equal access to instructional content and extracurricular opportunities
• Collaborate with special education teams and teachers to support student needs and academic goals
• Maintain accurate records and confidential information in accordance with school guidelines
• Proactively foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
