K-12 School District - ASL Interpreter Position

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking a dedicated American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter for a full-time position during the upcoming school year in Anderson, Indiana. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about supporting deaf and hard-of-hearing students within an inclusive educational environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide real-time interpretation between spoken English and American Sign Language (ASL)

• Assist students in accessing the general education curriculum

• Work closely with teachers and special education staff to ensure student success

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards in all educational settings

Requirements:

• Certification through the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.5 or higher

• Compliance with Indiana Department of Education interpreter standards

• At least one year of school-based or pediatric interpreting experience
