K-12 School District Seeking Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)

Blazer Jobs is hiring a skilled Sign Language Interpreter for a full-time position in a Benton, Louisiana school district for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate is fluent in ASL and has certification recognized by the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Interpreters.

Requirements:

• Valid certification from BEI or equivalent (required)

• EIPA score of 3.5+ or RID certification (preferred)

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)

• Experience interpreting in educational environments

Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation services to facilitate communication

• Support Deaf or Hard of Hearing students in mainstream classrooms

• Collaborate with special education teams and teachers

• Adapt to a variety of classroom and extracurricular environments
