2025/2026 Travel Sign Language Interpreter Contract Job (SLI) - Lisle, Illinois
An Illinois school district is seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter for a full-time assignment starting in August 2025. The interpreter will work directly with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, providing interpretation for classroom content, school activities, and small group interactions. Certification required; prior school experience is preferred.
Candidates without proper education licensure cannot be considered for positions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in American Sign Language ( ASL) or Educational Interpreting
- Must hold an active SLI National Certification
- Certifications: EIPA, RID, and NIC : EIPA: Educational Interpreter Performance Assessments
- School Systems look for scores between 3.0 - 4.0
- RID: Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf
