Job Details:
- Full School Year: August 1st ,2025 – May 22nd 2026
- Full Time Position: 37.5 Hours
- Caseload: K – 12th Grade students
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Language interpretation for elementary-high school students
- Provide interpreting services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring they have full access to classroom instruction and activities.
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with educational teams to implement and support Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring interpreting services.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of interpreting services provided, including progress notes and any changes in student needs.
- Prepare and utilize appropriate resources and materials to enhance interpreting services.
- Effectively communicate with students, parents, teachers, and staff to support student success.
- Georgia State Teaching Licensure/Certification
- EIPA score of 4.0
- Education: Associate s degree or higher in American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting or a related field.
