Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Clarkesville, Georgia

Qualifications:

• Active Georgia Educational Interpreter/GaPSC Certification
• Current RID Certification OR an EIPA score of 3.5 or above
• Prior experience in school-based interpreting highly preferred
• Ability to commit to full-time hours, Monday through Friday, for the duration of the academic year
• Reliable transportation for on-site work
• Experience supporting high school students on an individualized basis is an advantage

Responsibilities:

• Deliver interpreting services in real time for one high school student in a classroom setting
• Foster access to instructional material, school activities, and peer interactions
• Collaborate with school staff to support student progress and ensure compliance with individualized plans
• Adapt communication styles as needed to fit various academic and social scenarios
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and professional standards
