Sign Language Interpreter (ASL) | Cleveland, Georgia

Step into a pivotal role supporting student success as a Sign Language Interpreter in an educational environment. In this contract position, you will provide direct, on-site interpreting services to a high school student, ensuring equitable access to instructional content and communication throughout the school day. This is a full-time assignment running from ASAP through late May 2027, totaling 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

What Youll Bring:

• Active Georgia Educational Interpreter/GaPSC Certification
• RID Certification or an EIPA score of 3.5 or above
• Experience as a sign language interpreter in schools is preferred
• Ability to commit to a full-time schedule during school hours
• Reliability, professionalism, and strong collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom lessons, peer interactions, and school activities using American Sign Language
• Facilitate clear communication between the student, teachers, and staff to support academic and social-emotional growth
• Adapt interpreting style to match the needs of the student and specific academic settings
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student information
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with the educational team as needed
