Location: Columbus, GA
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday | Approximately 40 hours per week
Contract Dates: August 2025 – June 2026 (2025-2026 School Year)
Caseload: Varies by assignment (if applicable)

Blazer Jobs is seeking a certified Sign Language Interpreter for a full-time, school-based role in Columbus, GA. This position is ideal for a compassionate professional dedicated to supporting the academic and functional communication needs of students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support in non-academic communication areas, tailored to individual student needs

• Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement instructional goals and methods in accordance with district and IEP requirements

• Regularly communicate with parents and team members to exchange updates and support strategies

• Conduct ongoing assessments of student communication progress using formal and informal tools

• Prepare for and actively participate in IEP meetings related to student programming and services

Requirements:

• Valid Georgia certification as a Sign Language Interpreter or appropriate credential

• Experience working in school settings preferred

• Strong understanding of American Sign Language (ASL), interpreting protocols, and instructional strategies

• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and specialists while maintaining consistent documentation
