Role Overview & Qualifications:

  • Active GA Educator Certificate for SLIs with an EIPA score of 3.5+ required OR SLI Para with near-qualifying EIPA scores and a commitment to re-exam (eligibility for SLI Tech to SLI transition during the school year)
  • Experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in school settings strongly preferred
  • Ability to maintain detailed daily logs documenting interpreter services
  • Collaborative and adaptable, with a desire to discuss preferred age groups and skill areas during the interview
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite sign language interpretation for students and staff
  • Partner with educators and other interpreters to support inclusive instruction
  • Attend meetings and engage in planning sessions as required
  • Accurately complete daily logs of interpreting services delivered
