Sign Language Interpreter

Blazer Jobs is actively hiring a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to support students in a school district located in Evans, GA.

Position Details:

• Full-time, onsite role

• Provides interpretation and transliteration services for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in classroom and school settings

• Collaborates with teachers, staff, and families to ensure effective communication and equal access to education

• May involve 1:1 student support or classroom-based interpreting, depending on district needs

• Caseload information will be provided during the district interview

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid Georgia Professional Interpreter License through the Georgia Board of Examiners for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing or meet equivalent state requirements

• Certification through EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) or RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) strongly preferred

• Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)

• Prior school-based experience or experience working with children preferred

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
