School Based Sign Language Interpreter Role - Fayetteville, NC

Position Overview:
Blazer Jobs is seeking a full-time Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) in Fayetteville, NC. The SLI will facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and others in the educational environment.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa.

• Support students during classroom instruction and school activities.

• Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure effective communication.

• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

• Participate in IEP meetings as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina interpreter license or certification.

• Proficiency in ASL and English.

• Minimum of one year of experience in an educational setting.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
