Pay Rate: Starting at $35.00 per hour

Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a certified Speech-Language Interpreter (SLI) to join a school district in the Fresno, California area. This full-time position supports students who are deaf or hard of hearing in accessing classroom instruction and communication throughout the school day.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation and transliteration services to facilitate communication between deaf or hard of hearing students and others in the school environment

• Support both academic and extracurricular settings

• Collaborate with educational staff to follow IEP goals and ensure student access to instruction

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to district protocols

Requirements for California SLIs

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college-level coursework preferred

• Must possess a valid Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 4.0 or higher, or equivalent RID certification, as required by the California Department of Education

• Current TB test and fingerprint clearance

• Meet all district and state onboarding and compliance requirements
