About the Role
As a school-based Sign Language Interpreter in Fresno, CA, you will:

• Provide accurate ASL interpretation for students in classrooms and other school settings

• Facilitate communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing, teachers, and peers

• Interpret lectures, discussions, and school events in real-time

• Collaborate with educators and support staff to promote student success

• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to interpreter ethics

Qualifications

• Completion of an Interpreter Training Program (ITP)

• California state certification or equivalent qualification for educational interpreting

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)

• Previous experience in school settings preferred

• Open to both local candidates and out-of-state travel interpreters
