This full-time contract opportunity requires dedicated professionals able to interpret in diverse classroom and school settings, ensuring equitable access to learning and communication for Deaf or hard-of-hearing students. Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid state Interpreter License for American Sign Language (ASL), with Spanish proficiency strongly preferred (MSL is a plus)
• Demonstrated experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in a school or educational setting
• Strong commitment to supporting a 1:1 caseload, providing accurate and effective interpretation throughout the school day
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to foster student growth and inclusion
• Flexibility and professionalism to accommodate the unique needs of middle school students

Responsibilities:

• Provide real-time interpreting services for a middle school student in classroom lessons, small-group activities, assemblies, and other school environments
• Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff to promote social and academic success
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards in all interpreting scenarios
• Work full-time, onsite, with consistent presence throughout the school day
• Serve as an engaged member of the support team, contributing to a positive and inclusive educational experience
