Sign Language Interpreter in Harlem, GA

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
• EPIA score of 3.5 or higher is mandatory
• Previous experience interpreting in school settings is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of deaf culture and the ability to adapt communication strategies to individual student needs
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills
• Professionalism, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively within a team

Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate interpretation services between students, staff, and peers in both classroom and extracurricular settings
• Facilitate effective communication to support student learning
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student information
• Collaborate with educators to adapt lessons as needed for accessibility
