Sign Language Interpreter – Contract Role in Maple Valley, WA (ASAP - 2026 School Year)

Are you a passionate, licensed Sign Language Interpreter looking for a full-year contract position in a welcoming district? We’re seeking a skilled educator to join a supportive school team in Washington for the Current and 2025–2026 academic year!

Position Details:

  • Location: Maple Valley, WA
  • Start Date: ASAP!
  • Grade Range: High School Students
  • Caseload: Work 1:1 with a high school student as they navigate through various services

Responsibilities:

  • Provide real - time interpretation between spoken English and American Sign Language (ASL) for our student while they interact with support staff.
  • Encourage and support the student's independence in communication and participation.
  • Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families
  • Work with teachers and other staff to understand routines, content, and expectations.
  • Attend IEP meetings and other relevant sessions when appropriate to provide input on communication needs or accessibility.
  • Teach student more vocabulary to help them expand their learning and understanding.

Requirements:

  • Must have an EIPA score of 4.0 and written test
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for helping all students succeed

Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: $25
  • Stipends: $600-700 weekly (non-taxed, for travel/living expenses)
