Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Paradise, CA

This full-time contract role offers the opportunity to work onsite throughout the 2026-2027 school year, providing essential communication access in middle and high school environments.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Hold certification by the National Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf, or a 4.0+ score on EIPA, ESSE-I/R, or NAD/ACCI assessment.
• Candidates with an EIPA under 4.0 are welcome to apply as ASL Para.
• Proficiency in American Sign Language and familiarity with educational interpretation.
• Experience in supporting students in academic settings is highly valued.
• Strong interpersonal communication and an inclusive, student-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpreting for students, peers, and educational staff.
• Assist students with classroom activities and academic subjects, including reading, writing, and math.
• Support the development of vocational and daily living skills.
• Monitor and encourage student participation during classroom and community activities.
• Collaborate closely with teachers and school personnel to meet individual student needs.
