A dynamic school near Philadelphia, PA, is urgently seeking a passionate and certified Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) for the 2025-2026 academic year. This full-time contract role that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by facilitating communication and promoting inclusivity within the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom lectures, discussions, and student interactions using ASL or other communication modes.
• Adapt interpreting techniques to meet the student’s language and educational needs.
• Facilitate communication in classrooms, assemblies, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to align services with the student’s IEP.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional interpreting standards.
• Assist with note-taking or captioning if required as part of student accommodations.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in ASL and understanding of deaf culture.
