Sign Language Interpreter in Roca, NE

This position starts as soon as possible and continues through May 2027, giving you the opportunity to form meaningful connections and contribute to an inclusive educational setting. Qualifications:

• EIPA score of 3.0 or higher is required
• Experience interpreting in educational settings, preferably at the elementary level
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and a strong understanding of interpreter ethics
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times
• Flexibility, adaptability, and the capacity to engage with young students
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with teachers, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

• Provide real-time sign language interpretation for students during instruction, activities, and school events
• Facilitate clear communication between students, teachers, and peers
• Support the individual educational needs of each student, adapting as necessary
• Collaborate with educators to support lesson delivery and classroom inclusion
• Maintain accurate records of services provided
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success plans
