Whats Needed to Thrive in This Role:

• Certification through the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), or Texas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing: BEI I or II (under previous system) or Basic (current system)
• Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings, particularly with children in Pre-K through 8th grade, is strongly preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively connect with children, families, and faculty
• Willingness to complete district fingerprinting and background check prior to the start date
• Flexibility to work on-site and adapt to the needs of one assigned school and a varied student caseload

Your Key Contributions:

• Provide direct interpretation services during instructional periods, meetings, and extracurricular activities
• Support Deaf and hard-of-hearing students, ensuring full participation in academic and social aspects of school life
