Blazer Jobs is seeking a School-Based Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to facilitate communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their peers, teachers, and staff. The ideal candidate will ensure equal access to education through high-quality interpretation services.
Details:
  • Start/End Dates: 2025/2026 School Year
  • 7th Grade
  • 6 hours per day
  • 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
  • Potential for summer work and 2025/2026 school year
Requirements:
  • Must be licensed SLIs
Job duties: Break down information to match students’ needs (using whiteboard to draw pictures, if needed), communication breakdown, tutoring, building language, encouraging independence and teaching advocating skills. Interpreting instructions and tasks (written and verbal).
