We are actively seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter to join a supportive school district near Seattle, Washington for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a full-time, onsite-only role working 1:1 with K–12 students to provide interpreting services that ensure access to education and engagement in school activities.

Position Overview

• Location: Onsite near Seattle, WA

• Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

• Caseload: K–12 student population

• Contract Term: Full 2025–2026 school year

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation and transliteration services in classroom and school settings

• Support student communication during academic instruction, extracurricular activities, and interactions with peers and staff

• Collaborate with educators, special education staff, and families to support student needs

• Maintain professional confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in educational interpreting

• Participate in team meetings and training as needed

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold a valid certification recognized in Washington state (e.g., EIPA score of 4.0+, RID certification, or Washington OSPI authorization)

• Experience working in a K–12 school environment preferred

• Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)

• Must be able to work onsite only – remote or hybrid work is not available for this role
