School-Based Sign Language Interpreter ASL Interpreter

Blazer Jobs is working with a valued school district partner in Seattle, WA, to hire qualified Sign Language Interpreters (SLIs) for the 2025–2026 academic year. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity to support students who are deaf or hard of hearing in achieving their academic and communication goals.

Location: Seattle, WA
School Year: 2025–2026
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation services between spoken English and American Sign Language (ASL) for students and school staff

• Support student participation in classroom instruction, school activities, and related services

• Collaborate with teachers, service providers, and families to ensure accessibility

• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accurate records of services provided

Qualifications:

• Minimum of an associate degree (or equivalent) in interpreting or a related field

• Valid Washington state certification or authorization to work as a school-based interpreter

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)

• Previous experience in educational settings is preferred
