Position Overview:
Alvin Independent School District (Alvin ISD) is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year. This school-based position serves students across K–12 grade levels. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students achieve their communication goals and committed to supporting their academic success through high-quality therapy services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and provide speech-language pathology services to students with speech, language, fluency, or voice disorders.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and implement strategies to support student progress.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Texas license as a Speech-Language Pathologist granted by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (SBESLPA).
  • ASHA Certification Preferred (CCC-SLP) or ASHA Clinical Fellowship Intern (CFY).
  • Ability to use accepted tests and measurements to assess communication disorders and conditions.
  • Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders and conditions.
  • Ability to instruct and manage student behavior.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • One year supervised clinical speech-language pathology experience preferred.
Contract Details:
  • Full-time position for the 2025–2026 school year.
