Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists for full-time roles with school districts in the Birmingham, AL area. We are seeking dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a difference in students’ lives.

Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered:

• Hold a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

• Possess an active Alabama Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (ABESPA)

• Hold a current Alabama Professional Educator Certificate with a Speech or Language Impairments endorsement (P-12) issued by the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE)

• Must have prior experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist in a school-based setting

• Must successfully complete a background check and fingerprinting through the Alabama State Department of Education

• Meet all local and state requirements, including tuberculosis (TB) testing and compliance with any additional district-specific onboarding procedures

Applicants who do not meet the outlined requirements will not be considered for this role.

Responsibilities:
Typical duties for this position may include:

• Conducting assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders

• Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students

• Providing direct therapy services to students individually and in group settings

• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress

• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress

• Participating in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development opportunities
