Are you a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist looking for a rewarding contract opportunity? We are seeking enthusiastic SLPs (CCC-SLP or CF-SLP) to join a supportive district in vibrant Houston, TX, for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year.

Dates: July 25, 2025 – June 5, 2026 Hours: Full-time, 37.5 billable hours/week

Caseload & Details:

This district prides itself on providing a supportive environment for its SLPs. You will be joining a team where collaboration and student success are prioritized. Specific openings include:

  • 6 Elementary School SLP-CCC or CF Needs: All elementary schools have a second person to support the campus. Depending on the workload, there could be 2 CCCs or an SLPA 2-3 days/week to assist the CCC-SLP.
  • 1 Intermediate School CCC-SLP: Serving 5th and 6th-grade students.
  • 2 Middle School CCC-SLP: Serving 7th and 8th-grade students. These roles typically involve many re-evaluations but fewer initial evaluations. Students generally do not receive therapy every week, with caseload numbers usually in the 60s to low 70s.
  • 1 High School CCC-SLP: Most students will have 3-5 therapy sessions per 9 weeks, primarily focusing on re-evaluations for speech-only needs.

Job Duties:

As a School Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations and assessments.
  • Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with communication disorders.
  • Providing direct and indirect speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings.
  • Collaborating effectively with teachers, parents, administrators, and other school personnel.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services.
  • Participating in ARD/IEP meetings.
  • Adhering to all state and federal regulations regarding special education and speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Active Texas School Speech-Language Pathologist license is required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or eligible to complete Clinical Fellowship (CF-SLP) year.

Compensation:

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $45-$55 based on experience for this contract position.
