Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time, school-based contract position in the Houston, TX area. This opportunity is in partnership with a local school district and offers the chance to work with an organization known for its transparency, advocacy, and support.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services in accordance with students' IEPs.

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders.

  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.

  • Participate in IEP meetings and support the development of individualized goals.

  • Work with students in inclusive classroom environments and/or specialized settings.


Qualifications & Requirements:

Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be considered. Required credentials include:

  • Valid Texas State Speech-Language Pathology License issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred) or Clinical Fellow (CF) status

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

  • School-based experience preferred

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprint clearance

  • TB test and any other district-required health screenings
