Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - School 
Location: Chesapeake, VA

    We are dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students. We are currently seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to assist students from preschool through high school who face speech and language challenges. The ideal candidate will have expertise in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Conduct speech and language evaluations to assess student needs

    Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and treatment goals

    Provide direct speech and language therapy in both individual and group settings

    Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure student success

    Offer counseling and training to students, families, and staff on effective communication strategies

    Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for each student

    Qualifications:

    Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

    State licensure or certification in Speech-Language Pathology

    ASHA certification preferred

    2+ years of experience working with students in a school setting (preferred)

    Familiarity with the IEP process and special education laws

    Strong communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and team members
