Key Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Licensed SLP, holding CCCs, with a background in school-based settings preferred
  • Interest or experience in life skills programs and supporting students with varying needs
  • Exposure to or interest in feeding and swallowing (safe eating), and AAC; training available for candidates willing to expand their skills
  • Open to working across multiple school settings; adaptable, independent, and collaborative

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 33 students
  • Support feeding and swallowing as well as AAC development for students in life skills programming
  • Split your week between Westmoreland campus (special education focus) and Lane schools (emphasis on socialization and communication skills)
  • Stay connected with a supportive community of SLPs through virtual check-ins and monthly team meetings
  • Collaborate with special educators, paraprofessionals, and school staff to enhance student outcomes
